BOOLR | A digital logic simulator
Our faculty challenge
For our faculty challenge, we’ve created a pc.
After a variety of learning and analysis we’ve designed an 8-bits pc
that would run easy applications with a most of 64 directions.
We gave it the identify Tineke, a Dutch feminine identify.
Earlier than constructing her, we’ve constructed a minimalised model of Tineke, referred to as Gerda, for testing functions.
She is programmed to seek out prime numbers. This takes a very long time, as a result of our simulator just isn’t (but) quick sufficient to
deal with the next clock velocity. In our last pc Tineke we managed to improve the clock velocity.

After a yr of laborious work we’ve completed Tineke. She has 640 bytes of RAM, a 17 Hz processor and
she is totally programmable.
The .zip file beneath comprises the .board file of Tineke, the .board file of Tineke programmed to output prime numbers,
and some schematics for programming Tineke.
